RESC Alliance Partnerships & Advocacy

In support of public education, the RESC Alliance partners with statewide education-advocacy groups to advance laws and policies that provide critical support to public schools. Some of these groups include:

  • The Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE)

  • The Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS)

RESCs Help Schools Save on Operational Costs

When it comes to school operations, RESCs deliver savings through practical programs and services, among them:

  • Cooperative Purchasing - Last year, RESCs saved schools and towns millions of dollars, helping offset the rising costs of products and services by purchasing through pre-negotiated contracts.

  • Transportation - RESCs contract with local school districts and state agencies to transport pre-k through grade 12 students and Adult Education learners. RESCs also coordinate bids and transportation arrangements across districts, saving precious tax dollars

RESCs Obtain Grants for Public Schools

Working on behalf of their member districts, RESCs obtain competitive grants and funding that provide high-quality services to Connecticut schools with dwindling resources. RESCs also host regional and statewide consortia that qualify schools for funding they couldn’t access on their own. Over the years, RESCs have secured tens of millions of dollars in federal, state, and private foundation grants to expand districts’ programs and services.
