About the event

Join the RESC EL Specialists for a virtual professional learning opportunity during which work collaboratively with General Education classroom teachers and Bilingual/ESOL teachers to offer input/feedback on lesson plans. The focus during these open office hours is on the review of lesson plans for places where adaptations can be made and access can be increased through the use of specific EL instructional scaffolds and strategies. General Education classroom teachers and their Bilingual/ESOL teacher counterparts are encouraged to register individually but attend in pairs, as your collaboration is essential to increasing your EL students’ access to content.

Please note that these office hours are "open," and that pairs will join us throughout the day for this work. We will be openly sharing and reviewing the lesson plans that you bring with you to review with us.

If you cannot join for the entire time, we encourage you to join us 15 minutes before the start of a new hour. This professional learning experience will not be a presentation of content, but rather an open time for collaboration and redesign of lessons to better meet the needs of English Learners in general education classrooms. Please remember to select/bring a lesson to be reviewed in advance of joining.
