Student-Centered Assessment for Learning (SCALE)

All Connecticut school districts completed the state’s comprehensive audit of district assessments. All district and school leaders are strongly encouraged to register for a 2-part webinar series to learn about the state audit findings and how to understand, interpret, and act on their District-Specific Assessment Inventory Reports. This webinar series kicks off a new, multi-year state initiative: Student-Centered Assessment for Learning (SCALE).

The district-specific reports will be emailed to Superintendents on March 1, 2026.

The webinar series and the accompanying District-Specific Assessment Inventory Reports will support district teams in asking and answering questions such as:

  • How frequently are we assessing students at the district and school level?

  • Do we have a clear strategy for what, when, and why we assess student learning?

  • Do we need all of the assessments currently in place?
